As you might have guessed the latest adventure to Santa Cruz was fantastic. We didn’t see much of the city in itself, but that’s okay since we went on excursions to places nearby with an incredible scenery.
On Saturday night we strolled in the to the city to have a coffe but did not stay out long since the hostel we were staying at had a barbecue night by the pool with a “all you can eat and all you can drink” buffet. And they actually had quite a lot of vegatarian alternatives. It was a really fun night with lots of nice people from all over the world.. and I actually met swedes! So guys if you’re ever in Santa Cruz, Bolivia you have to stay at the hostel Jodanga. 🙂
On Sunday we traveled to this ancient town up in the mountains called El fuerte de Samaipata, about 4h from the city which was a part of the inka kingdom. Here not only did we see more of Bolivia stunning nature, but also the inka ruins. I also found this great little cafè which served the most delicious veg (tofu) burger I’ve ever had.
Monday, and our last day at Santa Cruz we took a tour in the city’s wild park and botanical garden. We saw monkeys, a sleeping sloth, turtles and even an alligator. I’m telling you, this tropical environment never lets me down, may it always stay this green and flourishing. 🙂
